Top Chinese director Feng Xiaogang teamed up with actress Fan Bingbing and screenwriter Liu Zhenyun in Beijing, to attend the news conference of their upcoming film.

Entitled 'I Am Not Madame Bovary', the film marks the second collaboration among the trio, twelve years after their box office hit 'Cell Phone.'

The film is based on the novel of the same name, which is Maodun award winner Liu Zhenyun's first full-length novel narrated from the female perspective.

The story focus on a peasant woman named Xuelian, who has been involved in a fake divorce with an attempt to have a second child, but is finally abandoned by her husband.

And then Xuelian steps on a journey that lasts almost 20 years, to redress the injustice against her.

Guo Tao and Zhang Jiaying will also star in the film.

'I Am Not Madame Bovary' is now under production, and set to greet the audience later this year.
