Gas leak in a coal mine left two people dead and 10 others missing in northeast China's Jilin Province on Sunday, the local government said.

The accident occurred around 11:20 a.m. in Songshu Mine in the city of Baishan.

Rescuers are searching for the missing, local authorities said.
