Japanese department store chain Kintetsu is set to introduce Alipay in its stores in Osaka to attract more Chinese tourists.

Kintetsu will be the first department store chain in Japan to use the Chinese internet giant's payment service.

Meantime, Kintetsu has started to use Chinese social media network Sina Weibo to publish information about the store.

Official data shows tourists visiting Japan from the Chinese Mainland from January through November last year reached nearly 5 million, up 110 percent year on year.
