Employment reports released by top universities in China show that an increasing number of graduates choose to be self-employed. A report by Peking university shows that in 2015 nearly 25 percent of its graduates choose to be self-employed, an increase of 8 percent from 2014. Chen Yongli, director of the Career Service Center of Peking University says the school has introduced various programs to encourage entrepreneurship. "Peking university has put forward a development plan to help students start their own businesses. We have built a complete growth system covering the whole process from the selection of teams and business training to the incubation of the business. Currently, among the undergraduates, there are more than 100 teams receiving our guidance. I believe, with our all-around guidance, they will have a more solid foundation for their future businesses." The reports also states that companies in the field of manufacturing, finance, and information technology have become the most popular employers among college graduates. According to a report by Zhejiang University, nearly 60 percent of graduates with a masters degree entered information technology and internet companies. Industries involved with new media, internet, and culture creativity attract most entrepreneurs.
