[Photo: it.sohu.com] The Zhejiang Merchants Chamber of Commerce convened in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang Province on January 10, 2015 with more than 280 members attending. "Entrepreneurs should think about why they start their businesses at the very beginning and where they want to head to," said Jack Ma, President of the Chamber and founder of Alibaba Group, a Zhejiang-based e-commerce giant. Before the discussion about economic situation and solutions, Jack Ma suggested that Zhejiang merchants should formulate four disciplines for themselves: no bribery, no arrear of wages to employees, no tax evasion and no tort. "Zhejiang Merchants' trademarks of honesty and trustworthiness will attract business partners from all over the world. To forgo some short-term interests may bring you a wider and brighter future." said Jack Ma. These proposed disciplines were officially published on Sunday. The Zhejiang Merchants Chamber of Commerce was founded earlier in 2015 to bring together Zhejiang merchants both at home and abroad and share common values and interests.
