A transnational consortium, led by China's CITIC Group, has won the bid for implementing two projects of a newly planned special economic zone in Myanmar.

The consortium involves five Chinese companies and one Thai firm.

The two projects will be implemented under the framework of the Myanmar Special Economic Zone Law.

The Industrial Park project is to be built in three phases with commencement of construction in February.

Meantime, the Deep Sea Port project will be constructed in four phases within 20 years.

During the whole concession period, Myanmar government will accumulatively receive 15 billion US dollars of tax revenue from the two projects.
