[Photo: mtime.com] The cast of the hit British drama "Downton Abbey" has unveiled the first episode of the final season for US audiences in New York. All eight parts of the final season have aired in the UK, around two months earlier than in the US. Michelle Dockery, playing Lady Mary in the show, says she has mixed feelings knowing the end is near. "It's bittersweet really, you know, it feels like the right time to finish but it's hard letting go and saying goodbye to something so special and we are a family now, yeah. It will always stay with me." The show has left some loose ends in the final episode with several characters fates remaining unknown, but all is expected to be set straight in the upcoming Christmas special. "Downton Abbey" Executive Producer Gareth Neame also clarified the rumours of a potential film. "Yeah, we would do the movie, but as I've said before about this, at the moment there is no script, there is no definite plan about it. We are gradually exploring the idea about the movie, so maybe at some point in the next couple years it may happen but who knows." The 6th season of "Downton Abbey" will premiere in the US on January 3rd while the Christmas special will not be available until March.
