[Photo: weibo.com] Six people have died and another four have been injured in a 33-vehicle pileup in heavy smog on a highway in north China's Shanxi Province on Tuesday morning. The multiple collisions occurred at around 8:15 a.m. on the Wangcunqiao section of the highway linking Taiyuan City and Changzhi City, according to the public security department of Shanxi. The injured people have been sent to hospitals. The department blamed the accident on smoggy conditions. Shanxi's meteorological bureau warned on Monday afternoon that visibility would be reduced to as low as 500 meters in the province on Tuesday morning. North and parts of east China have been shrouded by heavy smog this week. The national weather observatory continued to issue an orange alert for air pollution in Shanxi on Tuesday. In east China's Zhejiang Province, smog delayed more than 70 flights at Hangzhou International Airport on Tuesday morning as visibility was reduced to 250 meters.
