The move by JD.com is aimed at bringing a variety of Italian artisan brands into the Chinese market. The agreement between JD Mall's Apparel and Home Furnishing and Milan-based Ge.Fi. Gestione Fiere S.p.A was signed during L'Artigiano in Fiera, the world's largest international trade fair dedicated to craftsmanship. Under the deal, Ge.Fi. will be responsible for getting the Italian brands onto the JD.com platform. At the same time, JD.com will be responsible for the advertising and promotional activities on the website. The Italian brands offered on JD.com include fashion clothing, jewelry, shoes, home furnishing, handicrafts and makeup.
