Wearable devices have been gaining momentum here in China, with the medical and healthcare sectors representing a huge share of this new tech market.

Intelligent scales, thermometers, heart rate monitors, and watches account for two thirds of the total.

At the same time, intelligent wearable devices for children are also gaining in popularity.

"We can simulate a three-dimensional virtual scenarios of earthquakes, fires, waste sorting and things like that to allow children to take a course in a more visual and interactive way. So they'll know how to react to these happenings in real life."

Statistics show that the intelligent wearable devices market will reach 14 billion yuan, or over 2 billion U.S. dollars, by the year end.

The figure has increased five times compared to last year.
