Macy's department store in New York unveiled a window display on Friday evening, featuring characters from the famous 'Peanuts' cartoon, including Snoopy and Charlie Brown.

This year is the 50th anniversary of the 'Peanuts' Christmas special, and each window display is a scene from that show.

The window show has won the hearts of many New Yorkers.

"It's beautiful, you like it?" "Yeah. Yeah. It's very nice."

"It's really exciting and I love Christmas and it's really fun to get the Christmas spirit going even if it's before Thanksgiving."

The biggest display is at Macy's flagship Herald Square store in New York City, but five other branch stores across the country will put up smaller versions of the same display.

It's estimated that 15-thousand people pass by the windows every hour.
