Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has unveiled 2 prepaid wireless plans in its debut as a mobile network operator.

Xiaomi is hoping to compete against China's three state-owned telecom providers.

Xiaomi's new wireless business, "Mi Mobile," offers voice and data services.

Users can choose to be run through either China Unicom or China Telecom's networks.

Xiaomi has also unveiled a new handset called the Mi 4C.

It's an Android smartphone featuring a Qualcomm processor.
