It is estimated that the total market value of companies present at the meeting is nearly $2.5 trillion, or one tenth of the combined GDP of China and the United States, or the total GDP of the United Kingdom.
![]() Speaking of his meeting with Xi, Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Facebook, said on his Facebook account: "On a personal note, this was the first time I've ever spoken with a world leader entirely in a foreign language. I consider that a meaningful personal milestone. It was an honor to meet President Xi and other leaders."
Zhou Hongyi, chairman of China's Qihoo 360 Technology Co Ltd, used the opportunity to promote his company's brand-new Qihoo 360 smartphone. He even introduced the product to Apple Inc's CEO Tim Cook, who said "it's amazing."
But Zhou said Cook seemed to be more interested in an APP on the cell phone that could tell ages of photo takers although Cook believed the APP still needs improvement as it was designed for the Asians, but not for the Western people.
Lenovo Chairman and CEO Yang Yuanqing used Weibo to broadcast the forum and posted many selfies. "Here comes a group photo," Cao commented on Weibo as he posted a picture he took when President Xi Jinping was speaking with business leaders. |
