Eden Project, a British education charity, has reached an agreement with Chinese developer Franshion properties to build a major tourist attraction in the city of Qingdao.

The China Eden project will include 17 themed restaurants and other facilities.

All are expected to be eco-friendly designs.

The first phase of the project is expected to cost around 1 billion yuan.
