Vice Mayor of Dezhou in east China's Shandong Province has been hospitalized after an accident according to a statement published by local media.

59-year-old Huang Jinzhong was injured on Sunday after falling out of the 10th floor of an office building and onto a courtyard on the 9th floor below.

The case is still under investigation.

Huang has been the vice mayor of Dezhou since December, 2010.

He worked as vice county magistrate in Linyi county of Shandong Province from 1990 to 2001.

He then became the mayor of the city of Yucheng and the city's party committee secretary 5 years later.
