Filming for the 250-million US dollar installment of the franchise was cut short earlier when its lead actor, Johnny Depp, injured his hand in an off-set accident. Despite Depp's absence, co-director Joachim R?nning still continued production of "Pirates of the Caribbean 5," presumably filming other stars' scenes without Depp's invovement. The movie is being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.
