Ice sports Luo Zhihuan, the first world champion of China’s short-track speeding skating team. He was born in Tieli, Heilongjiang in 1941 with the nationality of Korea. On Feb. 24th, 1963, only 21 years old, Luo Zhihuan won the men’s 1500m short-track speed skating gold medal in the World Speed Skating Championships held in Nagano Karuizawa, Japan. He also broke the world record and became China’s first winter sports world champion. After Luo Zhihuan became the world champion in February, 1963, Heilongjiang has had a group of world champions such as Cao Guifeng, Xue Ruihong, Wang Manli, Yang Yang, Wang Meng, Yu Fengtong, Wang Beixing, Sui Baoku, Liu Qiuhong, Li Wenwen and Fan Kexin. Ma Yunfeng won the men’s 500m short track speed skating. Sui Baoku, Ma Yunfeng, Zhang Zhiqiang and Gao Ming won the men’s 5000m relay world title. Xue Ruihong was born in a sports’ aristocratic family from Fulaerji, Qiqihar in April 1968. In 1997, she was the first in the 500 meters and 1000 meters trials of the 17th Olympic Winter Games. In January, 1997, she was the first in the 500 meters in the Davos, Switzerland World Cup. She was part of the women's short track speed skating sports. She was good at the 500 meters and won the champion of the World Cup races several times. She won the 500 meters’ gold medal in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin and successfully defended her 500 meters gold medal at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics Wang Beixing is another world-level short distance speed skater after Wang Manli. Ping pong World table tennis champion Jiao Zhimin is from Yichun, Heilongjiang. She won the women's singles title in the first Eurasian Table Tennis Tournament in 1988. He got China's first horizontal plate offensive play of the men's singles champion in history. He together with Liu Guoliang opened the Gemini era "of the Chinese men's table tennis. At 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, Kong Linghui all the way through, in the final victory over old rivals Waldner, won the men's singles gold medal. Ding Ning, native of Daqing, Heilongjiang Province, is the main Chinese women's table tennis player in the team. In May, 2011, Ding Ning became the Rotterdam World Table Tennis Championships singles champion. On Oct. 30th, 2011, Ding Ning won the Female Ping Pong World Cup; women’s team title in 2012 Asian Table Tennis Championships; 2012 London Olympic Games women's singles runner-up. In London Olympics 2012, Li Xiaoxia, Ding Ning and Guo Yue were the champions of the Ping Pong Women’s team event. Bai Xue is from Yi’an County, Qiqihar. She won the gold medal in the women's marathon at the 2009 Athletics World Championships, with the result of two hours 25 minutes and 15 seconds Li Duihong from Daqing is an athlete in China’s shooting team. She won the Women's 25m sport pistol event and record Olympic record in Atlanta, the 26th Olympic Games in 1996. Wang Zhen from Beilin, Suihua, Heilongjiang Province is a famous athlete in China’s athletics group. He won the men's 20km walk at the IAAF Race Walking World Cup in May 2012. Jiao Liuyang won the 2011 Shanghai World Swimming Championships women's 200-meter butterfly. On August 1st, 2012, at London Olympic Games in the women's 200-meter butterfly race, JiaoLiuyang won the gold medal in 2 minutes 04 seconds 06. Li Yanfeng is from Qinggang, Heilongjiang Province. She was the women's discus champion in Daegu, South Korea 2011 World Athletics Championships. Cao Lei won the women's weightlifting 75kg gold medal with a total score of 282 kg, breaking the snatch and the clean and jerk total score of Olympics at Beijing Olympics 2008. |
