A Chinese language competition took place here Tuesday pitting college students in Russia's Far East and Transbaikal region. Held at Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU), the XV Regional Chinese Language Competition was also a preliminary round of the XI "Chinese Bridge" world competition. Along with the winners, the jury also selected five finalists to take part in the first All-Russia Chinese Language Competition for students, which will be held in Moscow on May 20. The finals of the 2012 "Chinese Bridge" contest are to be held in Changsha, China, in July, when college students from across the world will showcase their proficiency in the Chinese language.
