    On June 19th, the five-day 22nd China Harbin Economic and Trade Fair closed. In this trade fair, 22 trade groups signed foreign contracts with 58 countries and areas. The contracts amounted to 17.82 billion dollars while signed domestic trade and economic co-operation projects were 22.159 billion yuan.

    In total, there were 9.4 billion dollars of import and export contracts signed. In the export contracts, costumes, machineries and textile accounted for the largest amount, signing 2.02 billion dollars, 0.62 billion dollars and 0.61 billion dollars respectively. In the import contracts, petrol, grain and oil and black metal made up a big amount, signing 1.05 billion dollars, 0.96 billion dollars and 0.44 billion dollars. There were also 8 contracts for projects and labor service co-operation projects, 28 foreign merchant invested projects and 15 overseas invested projects in this trade fair.

    Domestic sales contracts were 30.19 billion yuan at this trade fair. Domestic economic co-operation projects are 343 and the total amount is 191.4 billion yuan, attracting 188.4 billion yuan worth of funds from other provinces.

    Until now, Harbin Economic and Trade Fair has become the most important platform for other provinces, autonomous regions and municipality directly under the Central Government in China to sign contracts with foreign countries. Trade groups of Heilongjiang Province have signed contracts with 58 countries in this trade fair. The quantity of signing countries (areas) is the most compared to previous sessions. Russia is still the biggest trade partner at the Harbin Economic and Trade Fair, accounting for 65.4% of the total volume.
