Heilongjiang is a multiracial border province of China and also an immigrants province, where over 90 percent of the inhabitants belong to the Han nationality. National Minorities are small in population, but have more ethnic groups predominantly including 10 groups such as Manchu, Hui, Korean, Mondol, Daur, Oroqen, Ewenki, Kirgiz, Hezhen, Xibe and so on. The majority of these groups’ historical changes and folk customs are supported by compact communities, among which Manchu, Mongolian, Oroqen, Ewenki, Daur have a very rich heritage in myth. The rap of long-runing heroic themes have been circulating among Hezhen, Oroqen and Daur for a long time past, such as Hezhen’s “Kan Imam”, Oroqen’s “Mo Sukun” and Daur’s “Wu Qin”, etc. Those epic raps are valuable treasures of Heilongjiang National Culture. Since modern times, the multiracial border province, Heilongjiang have gradually formed a frontier, nationalaand compatible with Western civilization nature. Since the early Qing dynasty, the immigrants after lifting the ban, the excellent and traditional culture of the Chinese Nation and the folk customs have joined with Heilongjiang Aboriginal Culture. In the early 20th century, especially Harbin, Heihe, Suifenhe Port became international business centers. And cultural characteristics of different countries and nations in architecture, religion, culture, education, health and other aspects from many Eastern and Western countries such as Russia, Japan, Germany, the Netherlands and France, exchange the regional culture with Heiongjiang, which have become an important part of Heilongjiang valley civilization in modern times. Heilongjiang province is rich in nonmaterial cultural heritage, some of which have reached in literary and artistic work with a large number of excellent works and some of which have reached in the tourism culture industry with social and economic benefits. On March 27,2007, Heilongjiang Government declared the first provincial nonmaterial cultural heritage list of a total of 57, in which 9 marked by ★ belong to national nonmaterial cultural heritages. |
