Heilongjiang is a multi-ethnic frontier province as well as the province of immigrants. Han ethic group account for 90% of the total population of the province or more. The minority has some ten kinds of races although their population is small, such as Manchu, Hui, Korean, Mongolian, Daur, Oroqen, Ewenki, Kirgiz, Hoche, Xibe, all of which have experienced Historical Changes and have their own customs with inhabited community as their support. Among them, Manchu, Mongolian, Oroqen, Ewenki, Daur ethnic heritage are rich in myths. Hoche, Oroqen and Daur have long been circulating with hero themes, such as the Hoche’s "imams worthy", Oroqen's "Mo Sukun" and Daur "Wu Qin", etc., and all these epics are valuable assets in Heilongjiang’s national culture. The immigration after the early Qing Dynasty's "Exiles" and "Xing land” lifting the ban has brought in great Chinese traditions, customs and folk customs and fused with Heilongjiang’s variety of indigenous culture. In the early 20th century, especially in Heilongjiang Harbin, Heihe, Suifenhe Ports becoming into an international business center, Heilongjiang culture exchanged with Russia, Japan, Germany, the Netherlands, France and many other Western countries in architecture, religion, culture, education, health, reflected in various aspects of the different country Characteristics of different ethnic culture, forming an important part of the Heilongjiang River modern civilization, Heilongjiang Province is rich in non-material cultural heritage resources, and some have entered the literary and artistic creation in all categories, having produced a large number of excellent works, and some have entered the ranks of tourism and cultural industries, having created social and economic benefits. On 27 March 2007 Heilongjiang Provincial Government published the first batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage list of 57 items l, among which marked with “★” ones are number one national intangible cultural heritage, namely, 9 items. |
