Tan Dun brings his latest work called "A Drip from the Roof" to the 12th Shanghai Int'l Arts Festival. [File Photo: Baidu.com] The 12th Shanghai International Arts Festival raised the curtain on Monday (September 27). It's where famous composer Tan Dun will bring his latest work called "A Drip from the Roof" to Shanghai's "Water Music Hall". The water drips from the roof of the Water Music Hall like rain. That rain then becomes a water instrument to play music. The pools inside the hall can be used as water drums. The crossbeams and steel pillars are the instruments for the metal rock percussion music. The audience is encouraged to participate. Tan Dun's show begins on Wednesday. His target is to perform 200 of these shows. |
