Still not done shaking the Chinese film market with "Aftershock", director Feng Xiaogang has lifted the curtain on the sequel to his 2008 hit comedy "If You Are the One" in Sanya in south China's Hainan Province, Mtime.com reports.

The sequel features the same cast as the original, and has new additions Sun Honglei and Yao Chen, who have collaborated on the hit TV series "Lurk" ("Qian Fu"). They will play the best friends of the main characters.

The sequel will follow the original storyline. After coming back from Hokkaido, Japan, Xiao Xiao (Shu Qi) has totally given up on Mr. Fang but still has no romantic feelings for Qin Fen (Ge You). The two decide to have a trial marriage but it turns out to be a failure when Xiao gets drunk and tells Qin how she really feels. Qin returns to Beijing and becomes a TV host. When his best friend Li Xiangshan (Sun Honglei) is diagnosed with cancer, his friends hold a farewell ceremony where Xiao and Qin meet up and get together again.

The sequel is predicted to hit screens at the end of the year, but it still remains to be seen exactly when as director Feng prefers a leisurely approach to filming. He originally planned to fly to Australia for filming but failed as lead actor Ge You couldn't take the airplane and they were reportedly afraid of the pirates if traveling by ship. Finally they determined to shoot in Sanya.
