Cantopop singer Sammi Cheng has denied she is getting back together with her ex-boyfriend Andy Hui, the Oriental Morning Post reports.

Cheng donned a wedding dress-like outfit while she sang two of Hui's best-known songs during her recent concert in Taipei, arousing suspicions that the former lovebirds were in love once again.

"I chose the songs because I like them, and I chose the dress because it was beautiful. It was not a wedding gown after all," Cheng explained.

"But I don't mind if it was mistaken for a wedding dress, for being a bride is the most beautiful moment for every woman," the 38-year-old singer added.

Cheng said she would wear the dress for her Shanghai concert as well, slated for July 17.

Cheng and Hui, who are both popular singers from Hong Kong, broke up in 2004 after a 13-year relationship.
