Taiwan entertainer Barbie Hsu is promoting vegetarian lifestyle in an ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), an international organization for animal rights.

In one of the photos, Hsu holds a piglet in her arms. The caption goes, "Compassion is beautiful. Go vegetarian!" In another, she strikes a pose wearing a green top with a slogan that reads, "Powered by tofu!"

Hsu, who is a popular actress, singer and talk-show host, was voted Asia's sexiest vegetarian woman of 2009 in PETA's annual survey.

"I treat animals like my friends and family. Animals have equal rights as humans," Hsu once said.
