In the just-concluded 2009 National Teenager and Female Snooker Open, Fan Zhengyi, an eight-year-old boy from Harbin claimed third prize among the junior group. Recently, the journalist interviewed the hard-working Fan Zhengyi.

Chen Jing, Fan Zhengyi’s mother, told us that Fan practices for 3 or 4 hours every day since he began playing when he was five. He came fifth in the National Youth Pool Championships the following year.

Fan Zhengyi is 1.37 meters tall, wears a professional outfit along with a fashionable hair style immediately concentrates once using the cue. Fan said: “My idol is O'Sullivan. One day I will exceed him and become the real No.1.”
