The screenings are aimed at forming a positive image of the five countries in the global media space
TV BRICS International Media Network traditionally organizes screenings of films by documentary filmmakers from the BRICS countries on the platform of the "Rendezvous with Russia. Territory of People's Unity' festival in Arkhangelsk. The goal is to tell the audience about the contemporary realities of life in the alliance states and to form a positive image of the five countries in the global media space.
Svetlana Buzova, the Head of Department on Realization of National Policy and Development of Civil Society Institutions of Arkhangelsk Region Governor Administration and the regional government, thinks that international film festival "Rendezvous with Russia. Territory of People's Unity" gives an opportunity to tell about the most distant corners of Russia, about interesting people, about projects, which are realized in small settlements, through documentary and feature films.
"There is an active work with local cinematographers and young people who are keen on the subject and who are trying to create their first film. I think that audiences are very curious about films from Brazil, India, China and South Africa and I hope that the number of films from the BRICS countries will only increase. I would like the audiences of the five countries to see that there are many important social projects taking place in Russia"

The screening of TV BRICS on the platforms of the largest national film competitions of the BRICS countries has already become a tradition. Only last year, the media network organised many special screenings of documentaries by directors from the five countries about the culture, traditions and contemporary life of the peoples of these countries at international film festivals in Russia, India, South Africa and Brazil.
For the fourth consecutive year, BRICS films were screened at Russia, the oldest documentary film forum in the world. Exclusive screenings of TV BRICS partners' films were held in Arkhangelsk and Vologda at the "Rendezvous with Russia" festival. For the first time, children's films and animation by BRICS directors were presented at the Zero+ Children's and Family Film Festival in Tyumen. Extended screenings of films by TV BRICS parters in English were held in India at the Innovative Film Festival in Bangalore.
