![]() 銆€銆€Pu Lijuan, inheritor of Nushu Script (Women's Script), teaches two middle school students about Nushu script in Shangjiangyu Township of Jiangyong County, central China's Hunan Province, May 6, 2012. 銆€銆€Nushu is a syllabic script, a simplification of Chinese characters that was used exclusively among women in Jiangyong County of Hunan Province. Nushu is composed of very strange characters, which feature strange shapes, a strange way of marking and strange social functions. A Nushu school was established in the Nushu Digital Museum in Shangjiangyu Township as a move to better pass on the Nushu culture. (Xinhua/Li Ga) 銆€銆€ |
