The romantic movie "I Phone You", co-produced by German and Chinese film companies, and featuring German actor Florian Lukas and Chinese actress Jiang Yiyan, held a news conference on August 11 at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, M1905.com reports.

The film is co-directed by German director Peter Schwartzkopff and Chinese director Tang Dan. They both attended the media briefing on Wednesday.

The Screenwriter, Wolfgang Kohlhaase, delivered his greetings through VCR: "I couldn't attend the ceremony because I'm too busy editing the film. I'm really reluctant to cut out any part now as I think all the parts are good."

The film is a love story between a Chinese girl and a German guy. Their relationship is mainly over the phone at the beginning. Then the girl travels to Germany with the money she saved from working in a flower shop.

Part of the film was shot in Chongqing, the southwestern Chinese city on the bank of the Yangtze River, where the love story starts.

Jiang Yiyan was known by the German media as "The Most Beautiful and Real Oriental Girl" for her great appearance and acting in her previous films.

"She's an angel and a fairy," said Wolfgang Kohlhaase. "And she's the smartest Chinese actress I know and she works in real earnest."

"I Phone You" is the first film approved by the local government to hold a press conference at the Brandenburg Gate
The film has been chosen to compete for awards at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2011.
