Chi Zijian was born in Mohe City of Heilongjiang province in 1964. She is a committee member of the Chinese Writers Association, Vice-Chairman of Heilongjiang Writers Association and a first grade writer.

 

     She began writing in 1983 and produced major works such as the full-length novel "Tree", "Morning Bell Rend the evening," "Manchuria",” Sunny over the Cloud". She also wrote a collection of novels including "Fairy Tale of Arctic Village", "the cemetery with snow "," Travel toward the White Night, ""Die-Chuan "," the silver ","Friends，look at the Snow "," welcome home and wash, "" Fog on cowshed ";"Series of books of Contemporary Writers – Chi Zijian Volume". Some of her Essays include "Sad Beauty "," listen to time dancing, "" Chi Zijian optional essays ".

      

      In 1996, her short story named "fog on cowshed" won the first Lu Xun Literature Award. Her short story named "welcome home and wash" won the 1997-2000 of Lu Xun Literature Award. In 2007, her novel "all the Night in the world" won Lu Xun Literature Award. Her work in 2008 included "On the right bank of the Argun" and came seventh in the Mao Dun Literature Awards. She won the Lu Xun Literature Award three times with publication of "Collected Works of Chi Zijian" and "Chi Zijian’s works best,”. She has won Australia’s "Suspense Sentence Literature Award" and many other literature awards. Some works have been translated into English, French and other languages.
